AFL EXPERIENCE: Last year Smith collected a career-high 80.5 tackles to go along with four interceptions in 18 starts for the Jacksonville Sharks. In 2014 notched 40.5 tackles and seven interceptions in 14 games with the Jacksonville Sharks. Earned First Team All-Arena honors as a defensive back after collected 74.5 tackles and 12 interceptions with the Jacksonville Sharks in 2013. Smith was named to the 2012 AFL All-Ironman team after setting a new franchise record with 2,984 all-purpose yards over 18 games with the Jacksonville Sharks. He also caught 99 balls for a team-leading 1,158 yards and 29 touchdowns while starting all 18 games for the Jacksonville Sharks. On defense and special teams, he collected with 21.5 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back and set a new franchise record with 1,707 kickoff return yards. During his rookie year, in 2011, he tallied 65.5 tackles, six interceptions and three fumble recoveries in 18 games with the Jacksonville Sharks.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: Smith was a four-year starter for the South Carolina State Bulldogs, spending three seasons as a wide receiver where he caught 108 passes for 1,516 yards and 13 TDs. During his junior year, he was converted to a defensive back and tallied 26 tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 13 games.
