One night after Head Coach Bob McMillen was inducted into the Arena Football League Hall of Fame, LA KISS struggle to put points on the board in a tough road defeat against the Iowa Barnstormers, 31-12.

The KISS knew they were in for a battle when the Barnstormers came out strong in the first quarter with back-to-back touchdowns passes from quarterback Carson Coffman. The first Iowa score came on an 11-yard pass to receiver Darius Reynolds and the second a 45-yard pass to receiver Marco Thomas. Both touchdowns were followed by completed kicks from kicker Ross Gornall. Iowa led 14-0 after the first.

The Barnstormers came out firing again in the second quarter. Coffman passed for 15-yards to Reynolds giving Iowa a three touchdown lead over Los Angeles. But the KISS were not going to go down without a fight. Quarterback J.J. Raterink completed a 14-yard pass to receiver Donovan Morgan to put some points on the board for the KISS. However, kicker Kenny Spencer surprisingly failed to complete the kick to follow. The Barnstormers continued to add fire to the fight when Coffman ran the ball in for 11-yards to close out the half. Iowa led 28-6 at the half.

The third quarter was slow with no points and the fourth quarter was an even battle. Both teams produced late touchdowns making the final score 31-12 Iowa.
