Today LA KISS announced that Steel Panther, widely considered one of the hottest heavy-metal bands out of Hollywood since Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses and Poison ruled the Sunset Strip, will play a special halftime performance for the team’s first-ever home game on Saturday, April 5th at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
The opening night of LA KISS will serve as Steel Panther’s Official Record Release Party for their new album, “All You Can Eat.” As part of both of these first-ever events, Steel Panther will unveil special performances before the game, at halftime and several times during the game on the new permanent end zone stage that will play home to other top performers throughout the LA KISS season.
Gene Simmons, co-owner of LA KISS, adds his excitement for the opening day performance. “Steel panther rocks!” said Simmons. “Just ask your girlfriend.”
Steel Panther reached main stream status with the release of its first album, “Feel the Steel,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Comedy charts in 2009. Their second album, “Balls Out,” debuted #1 on the UK iTunes Rock chart and #4 on the US iTunes Rock chart, while once again taking the band to #1 on the Billboard Comedy charts.
The band recently returned from its sold out “Spread the Disease” European Tour and is set to release its third full-length album on April 1st. Steel Panther will bring the same raucous environment that made their tour a hit to Honda Center on April 5th to celebrate their new album and the return of pro football to Los Angeles!
