The newest professional football team in Los Angeles, LA KISS, today announced that founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will perform with their band KISS at the first-ever NHL Stadium Series in LA. The match, which is scheduled for January 25, 2014, is the first of its kind to be played at Dodgers Stadium.
Recent Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductees, KISS, will headline the NHL’s entertainment lineup with performances pre-game and during the first-intermission. The band will also have a few surprises up its sleeve that will weave in the LA KISS.
“We are excited to create a spectacle at the first-ever LA Stadium Series and to give Los Angeles sports fans a sneak-peak at the level of entertainment that will be rocking the Honda Center during LA KISS games in 2014,” said Gene Simmons.
The NHL Stadium Series match in LA is the brainchild of LA KISS President, Schuyler Hoversten, who developed the idea while working with the LA Dodgers before joining the LA KISS. The match will feature two of the NHL’s top teams, LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks, facing off in the first outdoor professional hockey match at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast by NBC Sports.
“As LA KISS enters the LA Sports community, we see this historic event as a perfect celebration of professional sports in LA,” said Schuyler Hoversten, President of LA KISS. “This is a great opportunity to get in front of a huge group of Los Angeles sports fans and showcase the level of entertainment our games will feature this season.”
The band, and the team, will take center stage of Dodgers Stadium on January 25, 2014.
